UAP Finder Privacy Policy

UAP Finder uses your device's camera to watch the sky and record short video clips when motion is detected. All video and snapshot files are saved only to the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere. You can review, share, or permanently delete any clip at any time from within the app.

With your permission, the app tags each recorded sighting with your device's location, compass heading, and elevation angle. This exists solely to make your own sighting records more credible and complete. Location data is stored only inside the sighting records on your device and is never transmitted. You can deny location permission and the app still works — sightings are simply saved without coordinates.

Recorded clips may include ambient audio captured alongside the video, depending on your device and permissions. Like the video itself, audio never leaves your device.

All app data lives in the app's private storage. Deleting a sighting removes its video, snapshot, and metadata files immediately. Uninstalling the app removes everything. If you use the app's share feature, you choose exactly what leaves the device and where it goes.

No data collection. No transmission off your device. No account or sign-in. No analytics or tracking SDKs. No advertising. No selling or sharing of data with third parties. The app makes no network connections at all.

UAP Finder does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

If a future version of the app changes any of these practices (for example, adding an optional cloud backup), this policy will be updated first, with the new effective date shown above.
